Floyd Webb was drafted in 1968 during the Viet Nam War. He was declared 4F and was not eligible to serve. He then enlisted in the Army National Guard in Booneville, Arkansas. He was a medic there in the 148th Evac Hospital. He served 6 years there an then transferred to the Air National Guard in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a cook in the 188th Tactical Fighter Group. He retired from the National Guard in 1989. |

26 year career. Serving from November 30, 1965 to November 30, 1991. Retiring as a Master Chief Storekeeper. Served as a Command Senior Chief onboard the USS Monongahela AO-178 and Command Master Chief onboard USS Harry E. Yarnell CG-17.
